In May 2016, Grainger plc, the UK’s largest listed residential property owner, manager and developer, was granted permission by the London Borough of Haringey to redevelop the former council building Apex House on the corner of Tottenham High Road
Working with architects John McAslan + Partners, Grainger’s scheme will provide a high quality residential-led development for Tottenham that will build on the area’s thriving community, providing 163 new homes (39% affordable) alongside flexible commercial space.
In addition, the development will bring substantial improvements to the streetscape to create a safer and more secure environment for the community. The scheme will generate £1.5 million of expenditure per year in local shops and services from the residents of the new homes, as well as generating over 400 jobs throughout the construction and operational phase – bringing £40 million of investment to the area.
Following planning approval and having satisfied all necessary planning requirements, preparatory works to demolish the building have begun and due to be completed in late Summer 2017. Construction will then commence in late 2017 and the development due to be completed by 2020.
Throughout the course of these works, Grainger will be regularly updating all interested parties via Latest News updates on this website and newsletters that will be distributed to residents and immediate site neighbours. Construction Liaison Group
As part of our commitment to engaging with our neighbours and the local community, we would like to invite you to attend our first Construction Liaison group meeting scheduled to take place on Thursday 25 January 2018, from 7pm at 715 Seven Sisters Road, N15 5JT. The meetings will take place quarterly.
The aim of the meetings will be to provide an opportunity for you to hear directly from the contractors on what works are taking place, address any possible concerns, as well as ask questions relating to the development.
